Swimming To help animals in distress

I’m swimming a length in aid of Vale Wildlife Hospital

One length of Uig Bay = 2km.

Swimming 1 length for charity may not seem a lot but this length is two kilometres long across a bay on the far west coast of the Outer Hebrides. I’ve never swum anywhere near this far before, especially not at sea, and it will be a big challenge for me.

The north Atlantic water will be pretty cold, even in summer, plus I’ll be battling the ever changing currents. Despite the waves and the jelly fish I am determined I will make it.

All money will go straight to the Vale Wildlife Hospital in Worcestershire, where they treat injured and sick wildlife. Please help by sponsoring me via Just Giving using the button below:

Where I’ll be swimming

Uig Bay is on the far west coast of the Isle of Lewis which is off the north west coast of Scotland.
